Fat Blasting Workout To Add In Your Stomach Weight Loss Exercises That Can Burn Fat For Hours

If you do not have a plan for your stomach weight loss exercises, and not a fan of the gym, and do not want to carry those heavy weights, how about testing out your endurance in the form of cardio exercises. It can be from jogging to rowing to cycling and you can perform these workouts at any time of the day, as well as throw in some weight exercises if you have the time.

These fat burning workouts are considered as interval sprints which you can perform at least 3 days in a week. It will be up to you how you want to schedule your workout. You can do these workouts after your weights training or you can squeeze the days in between. But do remember to always warm-up for at least 5 to 10 minutes before you embark on these abdominal fats burning exercises. And also remember to cool down for about 5 to 10 minutes as well.

Workout A: Either Jog, Swim, Row or Cycle.

First, start dashing for 30 seconds and try to push yourself with at least 90 percent effort on your side. Then start slowing down to about 30 percent effort and run for about 90 seconds. This is repetitive and you can redo this workout between 6 to 8 times.

Workout B:

Using 80 percent of your best effort, try pushing yourself to start running for 60 seconds. Then slow down your pace and continue running for 60 seconds but at only 30 percent effort. Repeat this whole process between 4 o 6 times.

Workout C:

Just the same as above, this time you will run for around 90 seconds at a reduce effort of 70 percent. Then after you have done this, do not stop and continue running for around 180 seconds but at a reduce effort of 30 percent. This has the least repetition. Just do 2 to 4 times will be enough.

Do not wait and start doing these stomach weight loss exercises to lose body fat and getting that lean body you have always been working hard to achieve.

Good Weight Loss Program

The calorie shifting diet is a good weight loss program to follow. Unlike other diets, where you must reduce your intake of the quantity or the types of foods you can eat, on the calorie shifting diet, you can eat as much food as you want until you are satisfied and you can eat from all four of the major food groups. In doing so, you can expect to lose 9 pounds every 11 days while on this diet regimen.

How does the calorie shifting diet work? This diet is designed around the principle that you can manipulate your body's metabolism, at will, to burn fat quickly, simply by rotationally shifting the types of calories that you consume at each meal over the course of several days.

Somewhat analogous to how a low-carbohydrate diet induces rapid weight loss due to the lack of carbohydrates in your diet, the calorie-shifting diet also induces rapid weight loss by the lack of various nutrients in your body as well.

The major difference is that in a low-carbohydrate diet, you must reduce your carbohydrate intake to only couple dozen grams of carbohydrates per day, whereas in the calorie-shifting diet, you are constantly rotating different types of nutrients - carbohydrates, proteins, dairy, produce, meats, and breads - in and out of your diet, so that by the time your body goes into "deprivation" mode and begins to burn fat because it is being "starved" of one type of nutrient, you reintroduce that nutrient back into your diet while you remove another one.

The net effect is that your body remains in a perpetual fat-burning mode, even though you are eating plentiful food and you are eating from every food group! Your body is being fooled into thinking that it needs to burn fat.

There are only 4 basic rules to this diet:

  1. You must eat four full meals every day.
  2. Eat as much food as you want at each meal until you are satisfied but not until you are too full.
  3. Space each meal out by at least 2.5 to 3 hours.
  4. You must take a break every 12th through 14th days on this diet, to give your body a chance to rest from the rapid weight loss you will be experiencing.

Here are some sample meal plans that illustrate how this diet might look during a typical week. The diet plan actually runs in 11-day cycles but only 3 days are included here, just to give you an idea of how the plan is structured and to give you a sense of how satisfying and sustainable this diet truly is. Keep in mind that each of these four meals may be eaten in any order throughout the day, as long as you only eat that the designated foods at each of their respective meals.

Day 1

Meal #1: Sandwich (any type)

Meal #2: Scrambled Eggs Meal

Meal #3: Flavored Oatmeal

Meal #4: Tuna Salad

Day 2:

Meal #1: Scrambled Eggs and Mixed Vegetables

Meal #2: Banana Milk Shake

Meal #3: Chicken

Meal #4: Cottage Cheese

Day 3:

Meal #1: Chicken

Meal #2: Fish Filet

Meal #3: Fruit Salad

A Common Diet Mistake That Can Slow Your Metabolism

The main goal of any diet is to lose weight, right? Here's the problem, though. Many diets that are supposed to promote fast weight loss can actually slow down your metabolism instead - not only making weight loss harder but at the same time making it easier to gain weight. One of the most common diet mistakes that many people make is eating too few calories. This article will discuss why "starvation diets" are not the answer to fast weight loss and how they can actually do more harm than good.

We all know that either eating fewer calories or burning more calories will lead to weight loss. Logically, then, it would seem that by eating hardly any calories you should be able to lose a lot of weight quickly, right? Wrong! At a certain point when you cut your calorie intake too low your body begins to think that you are starving. As a result it slows down your metabolism and starts to hang on for dear life to any extra body fat that you may have since it doesn't know when you are going to get your next meal.

Even if your brain knows that you aren't starving and that you can run to the store and get more food anytime you want to, your body reacts based on instinct and slows down your metabolism with the goal of keeping you alive.

A slower metabolism is bad news when it comes to weight loss. When your metabolism is sluggish it will be harder for you to lose weight no matter how little you eat. Not only that, but when you go off your diet and start eating normally again it will be very easy to gain back any weight that you may have lost. That's one of the reasons that so many of us wind up yo-yo dieting for years and never being able to lose weight and keep it off for good.

Rather than going on a very low calorie diet in the hopes of losing weight try cutting out about 500 calories per day from your normal diet. Aim for eating nutrient rich foods that give your body all the vitamins that it needs since you will be much less likely to binge or fall of the wagon with your diet. Adding light to moderate exercise to your weight loss program can increase the rate at which you lose weight as well. By losing weight slowly and steadily it will be much easier for you to keep it off and to maintain your new, slim physique.

If you would like to lose weight more quickly than a pound a week without slowing your metabolism down you may want to consider shifting calories. The basic concept behind shifting calories is that you vary the number of calories to trick your body so it doesn't slow your metabolism. A good diet plan that relies on calorie shifting is Fat Loss for Idiots which allows you to lose 9 pounds every 11 days without causing your metabolism to slow. The Secret Weapon Of Successful Weight Loss

Are you sick and tired of being fat and unable to lose weight!! There is an answer! Please listen; if you want your weight loss regime to work you will have to perform Strength training and there is just no getting around it.

It is absolutely imperative that during the course of a lifetime not only for your weight loss goals but also for general health and well being that you must use these valuable tool.

For years we have been told to diet the excess fat from our bodies and throw in some fast walking to hasten the process.

The trouble with this is that the low calorie restricted diet would throw the body into starvation mode with the body holding onto the fat and using precious lean muscle tissue for energy.

This would "Lower Your Metabolism" causing greater muscle loss and once the diet was broken the original fat would return and you would have greater chance of gaining even more fat creating a

"A Vicious Cycle"

Eventually, your body would become used to the diet and then you will reach a point where nothing was happening. So what do you do now?

Try weight loss supplements, creams, massage, toning tables, and drugs. You should know by now that these don't work. There is a better way and it is

"Strength Training"

Many studies are showing that Strength Training is a far superior method for weight loss. (Ladies, you won't bulk up by using weights, you don't have the testosterone to get big and muscular, so don't worry).

If you are not incorporating strength training into your weight loss program then you can look forward to disappointing results.

The days of strength training three to five days a week in the gym, an hour at a time are long gone. That just doesn't work as a plateau is reached after three to four weeks and nothing you do will get you off it.

All that is required is one short strength-training workout a week done at home or in the gym and this will melt away more fat than you would have thought possible.

Fats, Figures and Cardio Work

We've already found out that by increasing the functional muscle on your body, you increase your resting metabolic rate.

Due to this higher metabolic rate you can now eat more calories, which means that you won't need to starve anymore to lose weight.

In a sense, fewer calories have to be cut back from our daily intake of food and successful dieting (provided that you eat the right foods) will become more likely.

As far as Fats are concerned, they're burned from the body when cells oxidize to release energy in the form of exercise. When exercise is done slowly to moderately for 20 to 30 minutes, then the majority of energy is taken from the fat stores.

It's important to understand that the loss of fat comes from fat cells all over the body, not just from one or more specific areas. Therefore, fat reduction of a certain area is not generally possible.

The best exercise for the purpose of fat loss is fast walking either indoors on the treadmill or outdoors. Walk until you are mildly puffing and hold that rate for the allotted time.

If your cardio activities leave you panting or breathless you are going too hard. Your energy will be then coming from your carbohydrate reserves and not from your fat stores.

Nutrition For Weight Loss

By decreasing the amount of calories you eat per day to the weight loss amount, you should start losing weight. Don't go any lower and check the mirror regularly to judge your progress.

If you don't have an accurate idea of how many calories you are consuming a day, how will you know whether youre overeating or not?

So go ahead and try to eat small frequent meals during the day each containing a little protein to maintain muscle and energy levels. Also try to consume foods with vital vitamin and mineral compositions on a daily basis.

Lose Weight With Fat Burning Foods

Can you imagine this? There are a group of foods where you can eat practically all you wish to and at the same time still lose weight. Well, it is true. The following are some foods that require more calories to burn than they contain. Eating these foods will help melt the fat away.

Making healthy substitutions is the best way to begin. Substitute fruits for cake and ice cream. Try substituting turnip fries for french fries. With a little creativity you will have endless possibilities. If you need help with recipes you can look online or get a book from your local library or natural food store. With vegetables it is helpful to eat them either raw or lightly steamed. You would like them to be slightly crisp when you serve them.

Here is a partial list of some examples.

Artichokes-Artichokes are very tasty and it worth trying them. With just a little practice you'll be able to prepare them exactly to your taste.

Celery-Celery is well known as a fat burning food. Eat it every day for a few weeks and see for yourself. Eating carrot sticks and celery during the day is a great snack. It will provide some essential nutrition and burn calories at the same time. Whenever possible it is best to use organic product. Green Peppers-Green peppers are loaded with vitamin A and vitamin C. They are easy to grow and they freeze nicely so you should consider adding them to your garden.

Tomatoes-Technically tomatoes are a type of fruit. They are, however, prepared like vegetables. There are literally thousands of types of tomatoes. Peas-Canned peas are horrible. Fresh pea pods are readily available in supermarkets and natural food stores. Please, eat them fresh.

Here are some other vegetables that will assist in your weight loss program. They include brussel sprouts, corn, string beans, asparagus, cauliflower, kohlrabi, red peppers, broccoli and green beans.

Let's not forget pumpkins and squash. Pumpkins and squash are delicious. They make great side dishes. They are probably one of the most under-utilizes foods available today. They are so tasty they kids enjoy them too.

Chances are you use onions and chives already. Grab a cook book and see what you can do with leeks, scallions, and shallots? You'd be amazed at how versatile they can be. Packed with fiber and nutrition, root vegetables are just what you need if you are trying to lose weight. This group includes carrots, parsnips, radishes, rutabagas and turnips. Turnips make great substitutes for potatoes!

Using herbs to season your food is a great way to eat healthy and lose weight. These herbs in particular are good because they require more calories to digest than what they contain. These include chervil, parsley leaves, celeriac and garlic.

Here is an interesting note about garlic. Garlic has been used for centuries not just as a food but as a medicine too. It is claimed to help lower cholesterol, reduce the pain of rheumatoid arthritis, and it is even said to fight cancer. This list of fat burning foods is just the beginning. Do you realize that losing weight can be kind of fun and sort of an adventure. It does not have to be a hardship. As I mentioned above, find some cook books and experiment with the recipes. Lose weight and have fun, what a concept!

When is the Best Time to Workout

In general, there is no best time to workout. Training in the afternoon should get you the same results as training in the morning, all other things being equal (i.e. nutrition, workout intensity, etc.).

Here are some important considerations for determining your workout time:

a) Are you able to train with at a proper intensity or are you tired?

b) Will you be able to eat properly before and after your workout time?

c) Will you stick to your workout program?

d) Will exercising in the morning be hard on your back?

Why do I bring up point d?

Dr. Stuart McGill, an expert in low-back disorders, recommends waiting at least an hour after waking up before engaging in any exercise that includes trunk flexion (i.e. traditional ab exercises such as crunches). Overnight, the discs between your vertebrae fill with fluid and are more susceptible to injury in the morning. Thats the reason behind this recommendation.

So don't roll out of bed and start doing sit-ups (not that most people should be doing those anyway and as youll notice in my reports, I dont include sit-ups in the programs). If you choose to exercise in the morning, youll be fine if you pay attention to your form and exercise selection (just as you should no matter when you exercise).

If you have soreness in the lower back, it is also a good idea to avoid bending over early in the morning (use another posture that is more back friendly when putting on your shoes, socks, picking up dumbbells off the floor, etc.). Always use proper lifting posture when training - no matter what time of day.

Basically, the bottom line is that you can still workout in the morning as long as you are extra careful of your back and lifting technique.

How To Eliminate Belly Fat Starting Today

As we all know belly fat is really bad for you. It has been linked to conditions such as diabetes. It can also increase your odds of heart disease. So it is really important to get rid of this horrid fat as it will only reduce your quality of life over time. There is no time like the present so you need to get moving.

Exercise alone I am afraid to say will not get rid of visceral fat. With that said exercise is a key component in the war on fat. Another key component is diet and you want to avoid foods that will add to the problem such as foods that are high in saturated fat.

The key to success is to burn more energy than you ingest. As a result the combination of exercise and diet combined will prove to be the most effective. Like anything else in life variety is the spice that will improve your well being.

Eating the same stuff and doing the same exercises day and day out will not get the results you desire. As a consequence you need to mix things up and at the same time you need to somewhat enjoy what you are doing as this will help you maintain motivation.

As for supplements they definitely can help to get things underway but remember they should never substitute diet and exercise. If you want to keep eating pizza while watching TV popping pills then I think your smart enough to know that all you are doing is avoiding the issue and your health overall will not improve.

So use some common sense and apply the basics and soon enough you will have that flat tummy.

Natural Healthy Weight Loss

The secret to achieving healthy weight loss is changing your diet and walking.

That simple statement is basically all you need to know for a successful weight loss program. One would think that this simple guideline would be easy enough to follow. Unfortunately, this is not true for about 35% of all Americans who are incapable of losing weight and keeping it off.

It is true that once we are overweight that we wish to lose it for a couple of reasons. Some are interested in improved health and others wish to look better.

An important point to consider is that it is never too late to lose weight. It is a known fact that the majority of those attempting to lose weight usually stray. The tendency is to return to old eating patterns and to return to sedentary ways.

Despite all that it is possible to lose weight in a healthy manner and to keep it off permanently. The significance of extra weight is much more than cosmetic. It takes a significant toll on your health.

The Way To Lose Weight Is Naturally

The basics of maintaining your proper weight is not complicated. Truth be told, much of it is common sense. That which you don't know can be easily learned. Losing weight in a natural manner, in reality, should not be difficult at all.

A reasonable approach to losing weight is to transform your diet. This is quite different from dieting. What you wish to accomplish is a lifestyle change that you can implement for the rest of your life.

The most practical diet for losing weight and maintaining your health should consist of complex carbohydrates (whole grains), high in fiber (whole grains, beans, vegetables and fruit), moderate in protein and low in fat.

As for activity, I'm not fond of exercise programs for most people. It is true that for a segment of the population that they can join a gym and dedicate themselves to a regular fitness program. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to most of us. However, walking on a regular basis is something that is available to most people. It is low impact, has great benefits and is easy to incorporate into our daily routine.

Another misconception is eating several, smaller meals is an effective means to starve off hunger. In reality, this doesn't work and is harmful to our digestive system.

The healthy approach is to eat three, wholesome meals per day. While you're at it, eat as much as you wish. The caveat here is to chew your food extremely well. When you chew your food extremely well you gain these benefits. 90% of your food will be pre-digested in your mouth. It will eliminate some of the burden on your stomach and digestive tract. You will absorb the nutrition from your food much easier and be satisfied sooner.

Natural weight loss is a lifestyle process, not a fad. It requires setting goals, but not the goals that you may think. The goal is to alter your habits. Once this is accomplished your weight loss will be effortless. Just as important, you will be healthier and will feel better.

4 Tips For A Great Bowflex Workout

The Bowflex Revolution is more than just the name of a home gym -- it's also a term that can be used to signify the shift from working out in the health club to working out at home. It has changed the nature of exercise, for better and for worse. To get the most out of your Bowflex equipment, you have to approach it correctly. In this article, I will offer a variety of different tips on how to maximize the effectiveness of your Bowflex fitness equipment.

First, you should warm up before using any fitness equipment. This can involve simple stretching, or going at 30 % intensity for the first five or 10 minutes until your muscles are ready for something more intense. Not only will your body be more receptive to making gains went working out, but you will recover faster after your workout is finished. This means it will be much easier next time to pop right back on that piece of fitness equipment and start exercising again.

Second, you need to measure your progress. Many machines have their own measurement gadgets, and these can be beneficial. However, I've found that it is better to keep a journal. I think that writing it down by hand makes it seem more real to me. Also, it's simply easier for me to track my results. Plus, I can set my own indicators of progress instead of having to rely on my equipment and its limitations.

Third, do not be afraid to journey outside of your comfort zone when using Bowflex. Many people who purchase fitness equipment only utilize it to a small amount of its total possibility. This is especially true with home workout equipment. Try new things, experiment with new settings, and further educate yourself about the uses of the machine. At the very least, make sure you test out each feature.

Fourth, try a variety of different approaches when working out. You can try interval training, high intensity training, cardiovascular training, strength conditioning and more. Try pay combination and keep experimenting to find something that works perfectly for your body. By approaching the whole thing with the idea of experimentation, you'll more quickly find the workouts -- and combination of workouts -- that will yield the maximum results.

In conclusion, I have given you several different tips on getting a great Bowflex workout.

Laxatives For Weight Loss

Laxatives are initially used to cure constipation and such. But nowadays, these laxatives are selling hot off the shelves for the purpose of weight loss. Many women now view laxatives as the new weight loss pill and they are popping them in desperate attempt to get the desired figure.

When these laxatives are taken in excess, they can cause several side effects such as bloody diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. It is definitely not an ideal way to a healthy and long lasting weight loss.

The purpose of the laxative is to increase the bowel activity. At the same time, they would disallow the large intestine to absorb food. If these laxatives are taken in large amount over a greater period of time, it can lead to greasy diarrhea, and hence resulting in weight loss. However, one must remember that the consumption laxatives can also cause damage to certain organs of the body.

These laxatives help to remove water from the system, hence causing rapid weight loss. But the weight loss is only temporary. As you re-hydrate your body, the weight will come back in an instant. At the same time, if your body gets too dehydrated, you might suffer from other very serious health problems.

Laxatives consumers failed to realize that they actually lose more than just their weight. There are so many health risks relating to the consumption of laxatives and many of these are fatal. A study conducted by the Eating Disorders Association stated that 1 out of 5 women consumed weight-inducing laxatives. The figures for male consumers were much less. More appalling is the fact that most laxative users remain unaware of its massive health risks especially since laxatives are relatively cheap and can be easily purchased anywhere.

The most popular laxative product available in the market takes the form of tea. These form of laxatives are very affordable. Slimming tea and dieter's tea may seem to be very effective, but what they failed to know is that it can actually harm them. These products help to ensure swift bowel movement and aids in the removal of toxins. It is best if one choose a slimming tea that is made up of herbal products, as they can be quite beneficial.

These laxatives in the form of slimming teas does not have a direct effect on the woman's fertility and menstrual cycle, but they should watch out as drinking these can cause them to shed off weight rapidly, and this can be very unhealthy and dangerous for their body.

These laxatives have more negative effects than the positives. It is best if one does not consider taking laxatives as part of losing weight the easy way. Laxatives and weight loss is a lethal combination and it does not work! So, do try to avoid it at all costs.

Male vs Female Fat Loss - Who Has It Easier?

The Top 5 Reasons Why It's Hard for Women & Men to Burn Body Fat

Men and women both have a hard time losing body fat, but for different reasons.

Here are the top 5 reasons why it's hard for men and women to lose body fat, and gives the 3 proven diet and exercise techniques for losing as much fat as possible in only 12 weeks.

Men and women struggle with fat loss for different reasons, but does one sex have an easier time with weight loss?

Here are 5 reasons men and women struggle with weight, and the 3 essential techniques everyone must follow in order to burn fat and boost their metabolism.

#1) The number one reason men and women have a hard time losing weight is because of poor nutrition.

Advantage: Women

Most women are better educated on food choices, but men continue to eat as if they were still playing college football. As a result, men will have a harder time losing weight because no matter how much they exercise, they are still eating too many calories. You can't "out-train a bad diet".

#2) The second reason men and women struggle with weight loss is because their metabolism decreases over time due to muscle loss and reduced activity.

Advantage: Men

Most men have more muscle mass and get more exercise than women. Plus, more men do strength training while women neglect this key element of the fat burning equation.

In fact, a recent study showed that both men and women can lose fat and gain muscle at the same time with strength training - even at age 60!

Without strength training and interval training, women will continue to burn fewer calories per day with each passing year and will have a harder and harder time with fat loss.

#3) Men and women will struggle with weight loss if they only rely on slow, boring cardio.

Advantage: Men

More men do interval training, and that is better than slow cardio for fat loss.

In a recent study, men and women on a year-long cardio program lost only 6-8 pounds, even though they exercised 6 days per week.

In another study, a group of women did not lose weight after 15 weeks of cardio (3x's per week). In contrast, a group of women in the same study that did interval training were able to lose belly fat.

#4) Men and women have a hard time with weight loss if they don't have social support.

Advantage: Women

Most men try to do everything on their own, but weight loss is easier if you have social support. On the other hand, most women are more willing to recruit help from friends and family when on a weight loss program.

Men and women can get social support from friends at work, from their family, from people at the gym, or even in an online fat loss forum.

#5) Men and women struggle with weight loss because of poor exercise choices.

Advantage: Tie.

Most guys and gals just show up at the gym without a plan - or they just go for a jog and do some crunches. But without a professional plan, both men and women will not lose weight, but only waste time.

To lose the most amount of fat in the least amount of time, both men and women should follow a program containing the following three essential elements...

A) A reduced-calorie diet of whole, natural foods.

No one needs an extreme eating plan. Just focus on eating 10-20% fewer calories than you need, focusing on vegetables, fruits, nuts, and sources of protein and healthy fats. Stay away from anything in a bag or a box.

B) Resistance training (Strength training)

Resistance training, using dumbells, bodyweight exercises, or barbells help men and women burn fat and build muscle.

C) Interval training

Short bursts of exercise, as done in interval training, work better than slow, boring cardio, and get results in half the time.

In a recent transformation contest, both men and women using a fat loss program of resistance training and interval training were able to lose up to 33 pounds of fat in only 12 weeks.

The Transformation Contest winner was a female, while second place went to a man who lost 33 pounds in only 12 weeks - this proves that both men and women can burn belly fat with resistance training and interval training for fat loss.

Is Hoodia Gordonii A Truly Effective Weight Loss Supplement?

People love to eat and with a lot of delicious food readily available, who wouldn't want to? But this has caused obesity and being over weight. That is why year after year people spend billions of dollars on products that claim to help them slim down. Recently, a new product came along -- Hoodia Gordonii.

Hoodia Gordonii

Actually Hoodia Gordonii is a name of a plant from the Kalahari Desert in the southern part of Africa. It is cactus-like succulent plant that has been used for centuries by the San Bushmen around the area as food.

In 1963, scientists from the Council for Scientific Research and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducted a research and screened bush foods. As a well-known bush food of San Bushmen, Hoodia became part of the research. In the screening process, extracts of the plants were made and tested to determine for toxic effects. The scientists have observed that the extracts from the Hoodia plant caused a decrease in the body weight and appetite on the animals on which it was tested on but it did not appear to be from toxic effects.

Weight Loss and Hoodia Gordonii

The discovery of the effects of hoodia gordonii prompted scientists to do more research on it. Phytopharm, a British company, was able to isolate what they believed to be an active ingredient of the hoodia gordonii that they named p57. The ingredient p57 has been tested on animals specifically on rats. They injected p57 on the test subjects and it showed promising results. The rats with p57 ate less and lost weight compared to other rats without the p57. To explain in layman's terms, what hoodia does is it tricks the brain into thinking that the body is already full and it has already eaten.

Phytopharm also conducted a clinical trial that involved 18 human subjects. In this clinical trial, it has been found that the subjects, after taking in hoodia, lost 1000 Kcal per day compared to a control group taking in placebos.

As of now, there are no known side effects of hoodia. Though researches are still on going to ensure the safety of people who are taking it.

Hoodia gordonii is now sold in powder, capsules, liquid and in tea form and can be bought from health food stores. One thing you should know about this is that hoodia gordonii is not a drug. Despite the fact that pharmaceutical companies are trying to isolate p57 to create a drug, the hoodia gordonii out in the market is still entirely natural.

The effects of hoodia gordonii may vary from person to person. Some experience the effects of hoodia a few minutes after taking it and some take as long as a couple of weeks. This would also depend on the person's metabolism.

But taking hoodia gordonii can only do so much in helping a person lose weight. It should also be supported with a good routine of workout and exercise to have an effective weight loss regimen.

Weight Loss: The Key to Discipline

Recently, two co-workers of mine were discussing their weight loss efforts and part of that conversation stuck with me. One of them said, "It sure is a lot harder to lose weight than it is to gain it." The other one answered, "Yeah, thats because gaining weight is fun." I laughed with them, because there is some truth to that statement.

Yes, it can be fun to eat with abandonment and not think about whether what you are eating is healthy or not; it is only the consequences that are painful. Examples of shorter term consequences are pain in your stomach, indigestion, and sluggishness. The longer term consequences are high blood pressure, heart disease, and shortness of breath. Seeing your appearance change for the worse is painful too. Focusing on these consequences is key to developing self-discipline.

Discipline is necessary to achieve your weight loss goals and any goal that you want to achieve in life. After all, you dont have to employ discipline to do those things that you enjoy. For example, I wouldnt have to discipline myself to eat chocolate bars because I enjoy them, however I do have to discipline myself to limit them in my life. How do I do it? Discipline requires two skills: Desire and diversion.

Desire means that you have to want the goal that your discipline will help you achieve more than anything. For example, I wanted to lose weight and get healthy more than I wanted the chocolate bars. Each time I desired the chocolate bar, I had to remind myself of the alternate goal and make it real and vivid. I had to see myself with that goal already achieved and experience the pleasure of it. I had to make that pleasure more intense than the pleasure I imagined I would receive from eating the chocolate bar.

The second skill is diversion, which is simply engaging in an activity that diverted my attention away from the undesirable activity. In the chocolate bar example, I had to either give myself something that I would enjoy eating that was healthier for me or perform an alternate activity that would help me better meet my needs. For example, if I was angry, eating a chocolate bar would not help me, but taking a long walk to cool off likely would.

My co-worker was right: For many of us, losing weight is harder than gaining it. But we need to remind ourselves that, although it is harder to lose weight, it is not impossible. It is also worth the effort. Then we use our key of discipline to help us achieve what we want. It is the only way to get the body that we deserve.

Ways To Motivate Yourself And Stick To Your Weight Loss Plan

It is quite common for people to begin a weight loss program at the start of the New Year. After days of merrymaking and partying during the holidays, people are often scrambling to lose the bulge that seemed to develop after several cups of eggnog and pieces of gingerbread cookies. However, after a few visits to the gym or several days of dieting, many people's interest in going ahead with losing weight tend to wane.

If you are one of the people who are starting to lose interest in shedding off the pounds that your have gained during the holidays or even throughout all these years, you probably need to set concrete goals of what you want to happen. After knowing what you want to achieve, say lose 10 pounds in 3 months, you need a little bit of motivation to push you to continue with your diet plan and exercise regimen.

Here are some of the things that can encourage you to stick with the program and lose that excess weight:

Announce Your Target Weight Loss To Others

If you are a competitive person, you need to tell your family and friends about your weight loss plan so that you will feel a little motivated to stick to your exercise and diet regimen. Since you have already told other people of your specific goals, you will have to work hard to achieve them. You will have bragging rights, so to speak, if you actually show your friends that you have the discipline and the will to really realize your dreams.

Another reason why you need to tell your friends and family about your weight loss plan is for support. If you are overweight or obese for a long time, your family and close friends will be more than happy to help you with your goals. They are the people who want you to be healthy and have confidence about the way you look. So when you are out for a dinner, they will be there to remind you to skip the refillable sodas or sugar-rich mud pie.

Be Constantly Reminded Of Your Goal

In order for the idea of shedding pounds to sink in to your subconscious, you need to be constantly reminded about how you want to look and what you want to weigh. Thus, put pictures of people who have the ideal weight you are pining for on your refrigerator's door, your kitchen counter and even on your bedside table. Some people even put such pictures in their wallets so that every time they get money to buy a chocolate bar, they are reminded that this bar puts them farther away from what they want to look like.

Find A Partner

The chance for success is higher if you have a partner in losing weight. You can find a partner in another friend who is also suffering from the bulge, a spouse who has a big belly, or even a brother, sister or parent who also needs to be fit. Sometimes you cannot count on discipline alone to push you to go to the gym or exercise. The buddy system will prevent procrastination and laziness. Furthermore, it is much more fun to workout while talking with friends.

Hang That Dress

Splurge on a to-die-for dress that is a few dress sizes smaller. Then, hang it in your bedroom so that you will be able to see it when you wake up and go to sleep. This dress will motivate you to keep on moving and to skip junk foods for a midnight snack.

Sometimes, you need to jumpstart your weight loss by drinking supplements that help burn fat quicker by increasing metabolism. Seeing that you are actually becoming a little slimmer can motivate you to exercise more and stick to your diet. One weight-loss product you can use is Zyroxin. Why Boost Your Metabolism Rate To Lose Weight?

Your body requires an estimate of around 1700 calories a day to function normally. If it doesn't get there, its not normal. How does this happen? your body is like a living machine. When it realises that the calories intake isn't up to its expected level, it will slow down to cope with the rest of the systems. This essentially means that the digestion rate etc, will slow down accordingly. This includes brain and central nervous system functions.

Why do dieters always moan and groan about the lack of energy, lethargic feeling, easily exhausted and such is mainly because of not getting enough food to fuel their daily life. Their functions cannot run properly. This is a crucial mistake on most dieters part.

In addition to that, the bigger you are the more calories you'll need. Yes it is a logical equation, you add a value on the right hand side, you got to increase the same value on the left hand side. Men generally need more calories than a woman. You do the math.

Simply enough, you cannot let your body go into "Starvation mode". Don't do this, it will lead to a loss of muscles and therefore will lower your metabolism rate. This will have and overall chain effect on your body. Avoid it at all cost. Find an alternative.

The best option: Like everyone say, Be active, exercise and eat healthy. Instead of lowering calories, start burning them. It will be more effective than compared to other methods. Do not plan for an overnight weight loss plan. Slow and steady will win the race.

300 Workout for Women

Women need to strength train for fat loss. That's surprising. And women can also train hard. That's surprising to a lot of folks as well. Here are some cool workouts for women's weight loss.

Now just because the 300 workout was built for a guy's movie doesn't mean we can't modify a workout originally made to chisel male Greek Statue bodies into a workout that will turn the average gal into a fitness Goddess.

The original 300 workout is brutal, and there are two ways we can modify it. First, by using the same exercises and decreasing the reps. And second, by keeping the reps but reducing the intensity of the exercises.

Let's do option A first, doing a workout with mostly the same exercises but fewer reps. So this becomes a 125 rep workout. Its tough, and is really for advanced female fitness only. A more beginner exercise is below.

a) Pullups - 5 reps (if you can't do real pullups, use the assisted pullup machine or even pulldowns)

b) Deadlifts with 25lbs - 30 reps (in the original workouts, they used 135 pounds. We'll decrease the weight and use the EZ curl bar instead. Alternatively, you can do dumbbell squats with 15 pounds per hand).

c) Pushups - 20 reps (do a combination of regular and kneeling if necessary)

d) 12-inch Box jumps - 25 reps

e) Floor wipers - 20 reps (Use the EZ Curl Bar again, or a broomstick)

f) 1-arm Clean n Press with 10lbs Kettlebell - 20 reps total, not per arm

g) Pullups - 5 reps (same as above)

A woman with a moderate fitness level might try this 100 repetition workout (remember - minimize the rest between sets):

5 bodyweight rows

15 bodyweight squats

5 pushups

50 jumping jacks

10 mountain climbers

10 lunges

5 bodyweight rows

Those are some challenging workouts. Work with a trainer to come up with other ideas.

Just do this workout once as a test. You might try it every couple of months or so as a comparison, but don't train like this everyday.

And as always, train safe. If you aren't sure about the technique, your form, or don't feel comfortable with the workout, skip it!

Easy Weight Loss Tips

Excessive weight is definitely a top concern for many people as our culture has become very sedentary and much of our food is packaged with empty calories, so we are prone to obesity or excessive weight problems. Readers and consumers are always interested in weight loss regimens because it is estimated that as many as eight in every ten people experience health and fashion problems linked to obesity or excess weight. Here are some weight loss tips that will surely work for you if you decide it's time to get your own weight issues under control:

Consume about five servings of vegetables and fruits at a minimum each day. Such foods are packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber which provides you with a sense of fullness that can help to keep you from over-indulging. Fruits and vegetables also naturally have lower calorie counts.

You may have thought that skipping meals would help lower weight. Think again. Skipping meals isn't a good idea because firstly, it can lead to ulcers, and secondly, you'll tend to eat more because of over-hunger during your next meal, so it basically defeats the purpose of skipping a meal in the first place. Instead, you should have about five to six very small meals throughout the whole day, instead of the usual three large meals. Eating more frequently will actually help balance calorie intake, regulate your blood sugar levels and keep your metabolism chugging along at a steady pace all day.

Take the time to learn how to read and interpret product labels especially on packaged food products that claim to be healthy. You'll often find that they are actually a lot less healthy than they claim because the food serving listed is much smaller than most reasonable people would eat. Or maybe an item is low fat, but has a ton of sugar in it.

Start fitting some regular exercise into your day. You'll keep your metabolism pumping away, actively working to burn calories and stored fats in the body. Such rigorous activities would also help you excrete toxins from the body through sweat. Enrolling to a gym and getting involved in physical sports are sure ways that the body can effectively and beneficially sweat it out. About 30 to 60 minutes of overall physical activity three to four times a week is what you want to strive for. If you are too busy to go the gym or get involved with sports, a half hour walk a few times a week would also do the trick. The idea is to get up and move and keep your body working efficiently.

What's The Best Exercise For You?

There are many types of exercise programs to include: building muscle, losing weight, increasing stamina, improving heart or lung problems, etc. But there is only one unique exercise that stimulates every cell in your body.

The exercise is rebounding!

While being easy and fun to do, it has a tremendously favorable impact on your immune system. This in turn can lead to many far reaching benefits such as an increase in stamina, mental clarity, better vision and balance, decrease in back or joint pain, and a host of other health improvements.

Rebounding data collected and presented by leading health experts has been confirmed by NASA and the United States Air Force, among other reliable organizations.

With the advent of the mini trampoline in recent years, you now can easily place this simple piece of equipment in your home or office. People who exercised on a mini trampoline for 15-30 daily have discovered the far reaching benefits of rebounding.

Even if you bounce up and down without your feet leaving the trampoline, you can enjoy the benefits of this exercise. It can be used by children, senior citizens, pregnant women, and even people recovering from an injury or illness. Professional athletes can also do this exercise at a higher level of intensity.

You can join a health club that provides all kinds of equipment to include stationary bikes, treadmills, indoor tracks, bar bells, etc. at a monthly cost in the neighborhood of $20-30 a month, or with a modest investment in a mini trampoline, you could achieve some significant health benefits in the comfort of your home or office.

Weight Loss Scams Revealed

Wouldnt it be nice to lose weight quickly, with minimal effort or fuss? Of cause you would! I for one would love to just sit back do nothing and the weight will just fall off.

Whether its a Low Carb, Low GI Diet, A choice of diet pills or natural weight loss pills, diet shakes, or exercise equipment, weve all seen the fantastic claims people including celebrities make about losing tons of weight AND how they can show you how to do the same thing.

I can tell you right now that 99% of these people are total frauds. You may have even fallen prey to one of these scam artists, selling you their latest weight loss program. Me too!

In the past Ive brought so many of these programs that I cant even recall how many. I dont know why, but I tend to find the good in people, and I was sold by these marketing schemes time and time again, even after being scammed by another. Finally, after so many disappointments, I got FED UP. I decided to get to the bottom of this fascination we have with Weight Loss Programs and find out if there really were any LEGITIMATE programs for Weight Loss.

Legitimate as in not only dealing with LOSING WEIGHT but also what caused the Weight Gain in the first place.

The American Heart Association has several tips to that helps guide you to identify a Fad Diet or Program if it is recommended.

Magic or miracle foods that burn fat. Foods dont burn fat they create fat when we eat more than we need.

Bizarre quantities of only one food or type of food such as eating only cabbage or tomatoes. These foods are fine as part of an overall healthy diet, but eating large quantities of them could lead to unpleasant side effects.

Rigid Menus. Many diets set out a very limited selection of foods to be eaten at a specific time and day, exactly as written. Often these limited diets dont address the widely varied taste preferences of our diverse population.

Specific food combinations. Some foods taste good together, like the classic soup and sandwich, but theres no scientific evidence that eating foods in certain sequences or combinations has any medical benefit.

Rapid weight loss of more than two pounds a week.

No warning given to people with diabetes or high blood pressure to seek advice from the physician or healthcare provider. Some fad diets could raise blood pressure or blood glucose even if you loss weight.

No increase physical activity. Simple physical activities, like walking or riding a bike, are one of the most important ways to lose weight and maintain weight loss. Yet many fad diets dont emphasis these easy changes.

Now dont be discouraged, which weight loss program is the right one for you, which one isnt just a fad diet. In my research I have found a few programs that not only deal with losing weight but also the cause of why you got fat in the first place (which by the way, is ultimately the main reason why we end up putting the weight back on) and also adding in successful, simple strategies to increase exercising.

Whatever you do, I wish you a healthy year for you and yours
